These Terms apply to Dotted Mind, including the Dotted Mind app and the dottedmind.app website. Dotted Mind is provided by Manuel Welsch. Full provider information is available in the Legal Notice.

1. Your content

Your notes, drawings, and other content remain yours. Dotted Mind does not claim ownership of your content, does not sell it, and does not use it to train AI models. You grant only the limited technical permissions needed to provide the app, for example to store or sync your content where you enable such features.

2. The app and open beta

Dotted Mind is a personal notebook app. During the open beta, Dotted Mind is pre-release software. Some features may be incomplete, unstable, unavailable, or changed before the App Store release.

You should keep your own backups of important content and should not rely on the beta as the only copy of important notes, work, study material, or personal records.

Features may be added, changed, or removed over time.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the app and website only lawfully. You must not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, reverse-engineer it except where mandatory law allows this, or use it to store or distribute unlawful content or malware.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

If Dotted Mind offers paid features, purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple’s App Store. Apple’s terms apply to billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

5. Availability and backups

Dotted Mind is intended to be reliable, but the app and website may not always be available or completely error-free. You should keep your own backups of important content, especially if you rely on Dotted Mind for work, study, or personal records. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

6. Liability

Manuel Welsch is liable without limitation for injury to life, body, or health, for intentional or grossly negligent conduct, under the German Product Liability Act, and where a guarantee has been given. For slight negligence, liability exists only for breaches of essential contractual obligations and only for foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.

7. Apple App Store and TestFlight

If you use Dotted Mind through TestFlight, Apple’s TestFlight Terms and Conditions apply:

8. Changes

These Terms may be updated when the app, website, or legal requirements change. The current version is available on this page. For material changes, reasonable notice will be provided where required.

9. Governing law

German law applies. If you live in another country as a consumer, you still keep any mandatory consumer protection rights that cannot legally be taken away from you.
